Are you a Running Chic?

Earlier last month I won a giveaway from Beki over at Wild Child Gone Good.It was an awesome running tank top from Running Chics! If you recall I don't have much running gear, and spent most of the beginning part of my C25K training wearing t-shirts. Which in this 90 degree weather we were having pretty much sucked and made me feel like I wanted to pass out.

So I was thrilled to get the tank I won! It was so comfortable and breathable. I honestly don't think I can go back to non-running material.  It was so much better then I thought it would be, and really did make a difference in my running.  I wasn't focused on how hot and sweaty I was, I was focusing on the run. And it felt great!  I am smiling after running several 5 minute intervals...this is amazing!
I know that the shirt didn't make me become a runner, but it made me not want to give up as quickly when my body felt overheated.

And due to a mix-up in getting the right size because some body parts aren't so cooperative in fitting in smaller sizes, Andrea from Running Chics said it would be ok to offer the size that didn't fit me up on my blog to one of you!  Isn't that awesome? Thanks Andrea!

So up for grabs is a Mesh Back Tank, in size Medium in the DeepBerry, just like I have on above, except I needed a large. Granted you don't get to choose the size or color, and I have tried it on, but never ran in it, and hey it's a really awesome workout top!

So if you are interested in winning it, just leave a comment below telling me what you normally wear when you work out. Do you have a favorite brand that you feel great in or are you still wearing t-shirts like I was?
*Be sure to leave your email or blogger profile. One comment per person, winner will be chosen by random.org next Sunday August 22nd at 9PM EST.
Good Luck!

AHH! I spent forever just today in a sporting goods store buying more running clothes! I have shorts, but chub rub (damn thighs) forced me to buy some running capri tights today, and a couple of compression tops. I used to wear t-shirts - no problem. But now - I over heat! Our gym isn't very air conditioned so tank tops are needed there!! LOVE IT!!!

I'm still wearing t shirts like you. This would be a great way to try a tank. I also pretty much wear yoga capris. I gave up shorts a long time ago and it's way to hot for pants. As far as brand goes, I love One More Mile.

I love lu lu lemon but they aren't friendly on the pocket ;-). There is a line at superstore here in Canada that has awesome workout wear and so comfy.

What a deal!! I run in tank tops (wife beater style) & a cheapo sports bra underneath. I've been thinking about a running shirt but its almost time for tshirts here.... Not that I wouldn't love one for the next few weeks ;) just that I can't justify spending the money on one.

Love it! I gave up cotton clothing (for running) when I trained for my first marathon. I wear a lot of shirts by Asics - and a lot of my race shirts are the wicking material, so they're awesome for running. (Makes them useful, which my husband loves, since he hates clutter.)

Performance wear only for this girl! Nike Pro and Nike DriFit are faves. I also love One More Mile t-shirts. I think I'd look great in that Running Chic shirt though!

I need workout clothes like you. I run in an old cotton tank top or t-shirt depending on which one is clean. I also run in my husband’s old basketball shorts that he refuse’s to wear because they are to short and he doesn't like them that short.

I either run in old tanks or sometimes get Danskin one's from WalMart. They work just fine. But I want this purply one....

That is so cute. It probably wouldn't fit me either either but I'm thinking it might some day OR I have a daughter who would love to have it as a gift and who could wear it right now. When I do my workouts with no one home - just me - I'm in my bra and bottom pjs! Yikes!

VSX I love their pants. Right now it is capris all the wa, no shorts. I don't typically wear tanks though! Would love to give it a try!

My comment didn't show up- doh! I wear performance gear for running as I sweat so much in this heat. Heck, I sweat a lot even in cooler weather. If I win, maybe you cold give this to me in person when I am in Columbus over Labor Day!
